Buckmaster sees three-way title fight to continue

The Misano World Circuit round put a couple of smiles on the face of the Parkalgar Honda team members: as well as the race victory, the team led by Simon Buckmaster also reclaimed the lead in the Supersport World Championship standings with a fifth win this year for Eugene Laverty. This weekend's round at Brno will see the Anglo-Portuguese squad and its Irish rider attempt to maintain that leadership at circuit that has proved to be tricky for them in the past.

"Brno was not a great race for us last year but we have an improved bike package now so I fully expect Eugene to challenge for another win," said Buckmaster. "There are now five rounds left and I know we have the rider, bike and team to go all the way."

The outspoken Honda team manager is fully aware of the quality and class of his rider's rivals for the title this year and is convinced it will continue to be a three-way fight to the flag. "Fair play to Kenan - he has only won two races but has never been outside the top three all year. Sofuoglu was really bad at Brno last year finishing only ninth, however I expect him also to step it up but can he match the pace of Eugene and Lascorz round there? Time will tell!"
