Hayden, Kallio and Espargaró roll out at Aragón

The trio this morning took out a Ducati 1198S at the Motorland Aragón circuit to gain a first impression of the venue which will host Round 13 of the 2010 MotoGP World Championship.

Ducati Team rider Nicky Hayden and Pramac Racing pair Mika Kallio and Aleix Espargaró were all present at the Motorland Aragón circuit this morning (Tuesday) to gain a first impression of the new facility, which will host the 13th round of the campaign on September 19th.

With Moto2 and 125cc riders on track for a private test which is scheduled to last two days, the three MotoGP riders took out a Ducati 1198S street bike to comply with regulations on testing, and completed a number of laps each to study the layout of the circuit.

Kallio put in a 20-lap run as he got to grips with the track, and the Finn liked what he saw on first inspection. “There are many riding lines you can take and this will make it an interesting circuit to race on in September,” he told motogp.com.

“There are a few tight corners which we will have to think about, but after this ride I am happy. There will be plenty to consider because there are some points where the track rises and then falls away, so this will obviously be something that we have to plan for.”

He continued: “Now I can give some tips to the team so we can have an idea about preparation for the set-up of the bike, and this is definitely a track I am looking forward to racing on.”
