Michel Fabrizio (Ducati Xerox) headed the combined qualifying sessions with a 1'58.695 time set this morning, edging out the charging Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia).
Thanks to his Friday best time Noriyuki Haga (Ducati Xerox) is third fastest overall, but privateer rider Luca Scassa (Supersonic Ducati) once more took the biggest plaudits for improvement, going fourth in the pre-Superpole qualifying.
Another privateer was setting a hot pace in fifth place, Lorenzo Lanzi (DFX Corse Ducati), with the Yamaha of Cal Crutchlow (Yamaha Sterilgarda) sixth.
