Max Biaggi to ‘stay with Aprilia until 2012’

Max Biaggi looks set to remain at Aprilia in World Superbikes for the next two seasons after signing a two-year extension to his current contract.

Biaggi is well on course to win the 2010 title having notched up nine wins so far this season, the 39-year-old accumulating a 60 point advantage over Leon Haslam with three rounds remaining.

Only his second season aboard the RSV-4, which made its WSBK debut in 2009, Biaggi has found a good home in Aprilia, the manufacturer with which he won three of his four 250GP titles.

With the deal set to coincide with title sponsor Alitalia's contract coming to an end, Gazetta dello Sport is reporting that Biaggi will remain with the team in World Superbike until the end of 2012.

Additionally, Leon Camier is almost certain to be retained in an unchanged line-up for 2011 having impressed in his rookie season this year.
