The Pramac Racing rider and the team’s Technical Director discuss the details of the set-up on the satellite Desmosedici GP10 in this motogp.com feature video.
A second season in the premier class for Mika Kallio has proven to be another important step in the Finn’s development on the Desmosedici GP10 of the Pramac Racing team, and in this motogp.com feature the 2009 MotoGP Rookie of the Year discusses the prototype alongside the team’s Technical Director Fabiano Sterlacchini.
Amongst the subjects discussed by Kallio are the differences between last year’s bike and the current 2010 version of the Ducati machine, his improvements over the past couple of rounds following a tough start to the campaign, how he had adapted to the bike, the use of his ice racing experience and his expectations for this weekend’s tenth round at Brno.
Sterlacchini provides an interesting insight into the technical side of things, talking about the task of finding the right balance and set-up for Kallio on the GP10, as well as the importance of the strategies used to manage fuel consumption, traction control and power delivery. With an emphasis on engine management this season Sterlacchini also talks about how the team are dealing with the regulations and the measures they are taking to handle and protect their quota.
