Cal Crutchlow is confident he won't be affected by a knee injury sustained during the summer hiatus between World Superbike races as he looks to continue on from his Silverstone breakthrough.
Crutchlow won his first WSBK races with a double victory on home soil at Silverstone, the Briton catapulting himself up the overall order to fifth place in the process.
However, his preparations for the final three rounds, starting with the Nurburgring, have been hampered by a dislocated knee he sustained in an accident on a push bike.
Despite that, Crutchlow is confident he can overcome that to display the kind of form that saw him win at Silverstone and also dominate last year's Supersport race at the Nurburgring.
"I managed to dislocate my knee riding my bicycle over the holiday but it is pretty much back to normal now and will be fine for the races,” the Yamaha rider said. "I had a brilliant result at the Nürburgring last year. It would be perfect to repeat the success I had on the R6 Supersport bike on the R1 Superbike.
“I can't wait to get back on the bike again. Finally winning two races at Silverstone was the result of lots of hard work by the team and I. We all want to get straight to Germany and hope to do it again. I always find the summer break too long and really miss racing so I'm happy it's time to go again."
