Jorge Lorenzo insists he will concentrate on getting on the MotoGP podium at Misano after maintaining his 100 per cent record at Indianapolis.
Although third position was his 'worst result' of the year, the runaway championship leader still has a healthy 68 point advantage over Dani Pedrosa heading to the San Marino Grand Prix.
Having finished on the podium at Misano for the past two seasons, Lorenzo is eyeing a similar result this year to manage the gap back to his rivals.
"We are going straight to Misano and I want to continue in the same way and get on the podium again," the FIAT Yamaha rider said. "I've been second there for the last two years and I am feeling very motivated and looking forward to another good race. I hope the temperature is a bit cooler than in Indy because it was really too hot there.
“Last Sunday was my worst result this year, but I am still happy because it was still third and because it was very important for our goal, which is the Championship."
