Michel Fabrizio, Noriyuki Haga and Leon Haslam get to grips with their new machines at a rainy Magny-Cours.
Rain has disrupted the start of the two-day World Superbike post-season test at Magny-Cours, though some riders were still able to make it out on track for a few laps.
While some have stayed in the pit-lane throughout the morning, there were plenty of new faces in new places as Michel Fabrizio appeared in the Suzuki Alstare garage as it looks increasingly likely he will ride the sole GSX-R1000 next season.
Having already confirmed he will ride an Aprilia in 2011, Noriyuki Haga got his first taste of the RSV-4, while Leon Haslam was riding the BMW S1000RR too.
Yamaha and Kawasaki are also present in France, the former with Eugene Laverty, while the latter is giving the all-new – and much anticipated ZX-10R – its first public outing at the test. Tom Sykes and Katsuaki Fujiwara, who announced at the weekend he is retiring from full-time World Supersport competition, will ride the bike.
Nineteen-year-old Canadian AMA Superbike rider Brett McCormick was also a surprise addition to the test ranks, riding the DFX Ducati.
