Kawasaki will be well represented in the World Superbike classes next season as Go Eleven announces a switch from KTM with Superbikes on the cards.
A new privateer Kawasaki team could enter the 2011 World Superbike Championship if plans by Go Eleven to step up from the Superstock category come to fruition.
The Italian team has persevered in the FIM Superstock 1000 class over the last few years, most recently fronting KTM's effort with the RC8, albeit with minimal success.
However, for 2011, Go Eleven have entered into a partnership with Kawasaki that will see them compete with the new ZX-10R in both the Superstock 1000 and 600 categories.
Additionally, Go Eleven are planning to join the World Superbike ranks as well should they be able to finalise their budget. Should they receive an entry, they would join the factory-backed PBM team and Pedercini in committing to Kawasaki for 2011.
In two years with KTM, Go Eleven – who backed the Sterilgarda Ducati team in 2008 – managed a best finish of just tenth.
