Despite finishing second fastest in Monday's rain-shortened Brno MotoGP test, Casey Stoner felt the day had been 'a bit of a waste'.
The Australian, third in Sunday's race, rode for 37 laps - and got to try the new Ohlins front fork - but didn't seem to feel much had been gained.
"We tried a new fork today and as far as we could tell the feeling is positive," said Stoner, who was 0.575sec slower than fastest man Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha).
"Unfortunately we were only able to get a couple of hours in this morning because immediately after lunch it started to rain and we couldn't complete the test.
"I hung about in the garage in case we got chance to go back out but the track stayed wet and there was no point. Our impressions of the fork are good but really the day was a bit of a waste."
While Stoner is heading for Honda next season, and therefore unlikely to test any 2011 parts, Nicky Hayden looks set to stay put and ride alongside Valentino Rossi.
However, the new fork seems to have been the only new parts the American – riding with an injured hand from his qualifying crash - tested.
"We got out there this morning and got a few hours of testing in because we really needed it. We had a few new settings we wanted to try as well as the new fork," said Hayden, who was tenth fastest after his 38 laps.
"The feedback was positive but at the moment but we need more tests. My hand was a little painful but honestly it wasn't a major drama and I hope that with a week's rest I can be fit for my home race."
The Indianapolis Grand Prix takes place at the end of this month.
