The JiR Moto2 rider set the quickest lap in the warm up ahead of the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini on Sunday.
Alex de Angelis, who will start from the second row in his home GP at Misano, was the fastest rider in warm up ahead of Sunday’s race with a best lap of 1’39.603 – some 0.083s faster than his own qualification time.
The San Marinese rider, who is participating as a substitute for the JiR Moto2 team this weekend, led team-mate Simone Corsi, front-row starter Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing) and pole man Toni Elías home in the 20-minute session which was run under cloudy skies and in cool temperatures.
Claudio Corti (Forward Racing), Julián Simón (Mapfre Aspar), Shoya Tomizawa (Technomag-CIP) and Gabor Talmacsi (Fimmco Speed Up) completed the top eight in the final preparation before the race, which is due to get underway at 12.15pm local time.
